State Agricultural Trade Data - Annual State Agricultural Exports

California has remained the top U.S. agricultural export-earnings State since 2000with Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Texas near the top of the list in any given year. The largest exporters of animal products in recent years have been Iowa, (the largest pork producer), Texas, California, and Nebraska, (one of the top beef exporters). The top three U.S. exporters of plant products have consistently been California, Illinois, and Iowa. The top exporter of a range of vegetables, fruits, and nuts is Californiawhereas the top exporters of soybeans, corn, and feeds are Illinois and Iowa. Currently, the United States exports about 3 times more plant (crop) products than animal products, leading to a higher rank for large grain and oilseed producing States.
