USDA has provided funding assistance to organic farms through several programs, most under its Organic Transition Initiative

To help farmers transitioning to organic production, the USDA has launched several one-time investment programs including cost assistance, grants, and technical assistance and education. Most of these are part of the Organic Transition Initiative, a multiagency $300 million investment.
