A stacked bar chart shows that farm labor contractors have come to account for a majority of H-2A certifications in the vegetables and melons product categories.

Between 2010 and 2019, positions certified as H-2A temporary agricultural workers increased more than 220 percent. The increase was most pronounced in sectors with high labor requirements and seasonal employment, such as fruit and tree nuts and vegetables and melons producers.
