Hodan Farah Wells joined USDA’s Economic Research Service in September 2004 as an economist. As part of the consumption team in the Diet, Safety, and Health Economics Branch, she was responsible for identifying and evaluating economic factors affecting dietary trends and communicating research findings in publications and presentations. She was also responsible for managing the Food Availability (Per Capita) Data System which contained three distinct but related data series on food and nutrient availability for consumption.
