Using Agricultural Resource Management Survey data from 2011 to 2021, USDA, Economic Research Service researchers found conservation tillage systems were adopted on cash- and share-rented fields as often as on owner-operated farmland. When it came to planting cover crops, however, the analysis was mixed.
