Food insufficiency in States that did not extend universal free meals was higher than in the six States that did

Using Household Pulse Survey data, a USDA, Economic Research Service researcher found that food insufficiency among school-aged children was reduced in States that extended universal free meals beyond the expiration of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic waivers.
