Gross cash farm income (GCFI) is annual income before expenses and includes cash receipts, farm-related income, and Government farm program payments. In inflation-adjusted 2026 dollars, GCFI is forecast at $611.5 billion in 2026, up from $449.6 billion in 2005, with the increase across time primarily due to higher cash receipts. If forecasts are realized, GCFI would increase by 2.8 percent in 2025 relative to 2024 followed by a decrease by 0.4 percent in 2026 relative to 2025.
