U.S. rural obesity rates surpassed urban obesity rates from 2019 to 2024

A USDA, Economic Research Service examination of U.S. obesity trends by location found adults living in rural areas had higher obesity rates than their urban counterparts in 2016, a trend that continued through 2024.
