Agrivoltaics is the combination of solar panels and agricultural production in the same location. For instance, the panels may be placed among growing crops, grazing livestock, or pollinator habitats. Federal agencies, including USDA and the U.S. Department of Energy, have provided funding to support the emerging agrivoltaics sector.
