Sarah Tulman

Sarah Tulman is an Economist in the Farm Economy Branch in the Resource and Rural Economics Division. Her work focuses on issues related to farm finance and risk management, as well as experimental economics. Sarah's current research includes projects on agricultural credit market conditions, farm-level financial stress, and farmers' use of futures and options as part of a portfolio of risk management tools.


Sarah joined ERS in 2014 after finishing her graduate studies at the University of Virginia. During graduate school she also worked as a consultant for the World Bank, and before graduate school she worked in finance.


Sarah received a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University.
