Robert Dubman has been with ERS since 1986; he currently serves as Survey and Data Coordinator for the Resource and Rural Economics Division (RRED). As the National Agricultural Statics Service (NASS) representative, Robert manages the NASS Data Lab at ERS and Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS) data in the NORC data enclave. His work focuses on assisting researchers in accessing and protecting confidential data, and creating statistically correct estimates. He also assists RRED in all information technology aspects.
Robert's past employers include the National Bureau of Economic Research, the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, the Congressional Budget Office, and the University of Georgia.
Robert has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia and an MA in Economics from the University of Maryland. He received the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Society of Food Distribution Research.
