Greg Lyons is an Agricultural Economist in the Farm Economy Branch in the Resource and Rural Economics Division. As a member of the Farm Income Team, his work primarily focuses on issues related to farm households. His current research is related to farm household income and financial stress. Greg also is developing a research program using the Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS).
Prior to joining the Farm Income Team in January 2018, Greg worked in the FDIC’s Consumer Research and Examination Analytics Branch. At FDIC, he worked on the biennial survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households and provided statistical support for cases involving discrimination in lending. His research background includes household finance and financial decision making.
Greg received his Master in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BS in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University.
