Debbie Rubas joined the Economic Research Service in October 2020 as the deputy director of research and communications in the Food Economics Division. In this role, she serves as the Division’s product coordinator and staff analysis coordinator. Previously, she spent 16 years in USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, where she held several positions focused on commodity analysis and international food security.
Debbie received a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University, an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A. in Economics from Bard College.
