Bart Kenner is an economist with the International Trade and Development Branch in the Market and Trade Economics Division at USDA, Economic Research Service (ERS).

Background

Bart joined ERS in 2019. He focuses on economic analyses of international agricultural trade markets for reports such as the Outlook for U.S. Agricultural Trade. Bart also maintains data products including Foreign Agricultural Trade of the United States and State Agricultural Trade by Country of Origin and Destination in addition to conducting research on issues affecting agricultural trade to provide useful information for industry, academics, and policy makers alike.

Education

Bart earned an M.S. of Agricultural Economics with a minor in Statistics and a B.A. of Economics from the University of Tennessee where he worked for the Center for Business and Economic Research, the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA), and conducted his thesis research on Rwandan smallholder broiler production with UTIA’s International Programs Center and the United States Agency for International Development.

Bart is a member of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) and the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC).
