which is presented in a newsletter format, provides
current intelligence and forecasts the effects of changing
conditions in the U.S. vegetable and melon sector (including
potatoes, pulses, and mushrooms). Topics include production,
consumption, shipments, prices received, trade, and

A work in progress, the data set presently contains detailed U.S. exports and imports, producer and retail price indexes, and a few retail prices. Eventually, it will encompass (and extend) all the time series data currently contained in the Vegetables and Melons Yearbook and in our individual commodity data sets. Updated monthly, it will provide users with more timely access to vegetable and melon data. We will keep you posted as new variables (e.g., acreage and production) are added. |
