Spinach: Background Data

ERS provides information, data, and forecasts on spinach consumption and production. New web page also contains data on farm value of spinach and on U.S. and State-level production.

Food Security in Central America (Sept. 15, 2006)
Five reports on food security were produced by ERS as part of USDA reconstruction efforts following a major hurricane several years ago. The reports focus on El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Food Assistance Landscape (Sept. 15, 2006)
Six-page brochure examines trends in food assistance programs at the midpoint of fiscal 2006. It also summarizes ERS reports on the Food Stamp Program released in recent years that may help inform discussions of 2007 farm legislation.
