Comprehensive Study Planned on Household Food Choices

ERS/USDA selected a Princeton-based firm to collect a broad range of economic and demographic data on food both at home and away from home. Some catagories of data will be available for the first time, and will broaden ERS analysis of household food choices.

Trends in Food Spending and Food Insecurity (Oct. 23, 2009)
From 2000 to 2007, food spending by middle- and low-income households grew more slowly than food prices, and national prevalence of very low food insecurity (food intakes reduced) rose from 3.1 percent in 2000 to 4.1 in 2007. Get Report Summary
