Briefly:Erik Dohlman is Chief of the Animal Products and Cost of
Production (APCOP) Branch, in the Market and Trade Economics
Division (MTED). He started at the Economic Research Service in
1999 as a research economist in the Field Crops Branch conducting
research on international trade policy, agricultural
competitiveness, and the effects of U.S. farm policy. Before
becoming Chief of the APCOP Branch, he served as acting Chief of
the Field Crops Branch, was a Senior cross commodity analyst in the
Specialty Crops Branch, and served an Agency liaison on several
interagency committees, most recently on bioenergy issues.
Education:Erik received a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Public Policy
from the University of Southern California in 1999. He received an
M.A. in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of
Advanced International Studies in 1991, and a B.A. degree in
International Relations from Tufts University in 1986.
