Rural Business Loan Eligibility Identifier

Overview

The Rural Business Loan Eligibility Identifier shows areas eligible for rural business loan program participation. Eligibility is based upon location with respect to cities of greater than 50,000 people and their associated urbanized area. Areas outside of the orange area are eligible. If your site is inside the orange area, you are ineligible. American Samoa, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Republic of Palau, and the Virgin Islands are all eligible. Eligibility information for Hawaii is currently not available. For more information on these areas, contact Debi Raygor.

Map the Data

Go to the Rural Business Loan Eligibility Identifier

First, enter a zip code and click the "Move to" button. The map will zoom to the zip code entered. Navigate around the zip code area using the navigation tools on the top portion of the map. Various layers of the map will appear and disappear, depending on the scale of the map. If you "zoom in" several times, you will see local roads and streets. But the map will not display addresses; you must determine your location relative to the features on the map. The light yellow areas are eligible. The darker orange areas are ineligible.
