The primary source materials used for these tables are the official annual
statistical yearbooks of the Russian Federation and the official annual
statistical agricultural yearbook from the State Statistical Committee.

The data set presents information on crop sector, livestock sector, 
production of processed food, and per capita consumption for each of the 
77 official regions--oblast and other administrative districts--of the 
Russian Federation, and consists of 26 tables. Most series are for 
1990(91)-1995. The data is prepared in LOTUS 123 for DOS.

invent.wk1 - cattle, cows, and hogs' inventories, 1991-95.

pltr-inv.wk1 - poultry inventories, 1991, 1992, and 1995. Years 1993, 1994 
for regions/oblast' are not available.

meat.wk1 - meat output, 1990-95.

milk.wk1 - milk output, 1990-95.

egg.wk1 - egg output, 1990-95.

totgrain - area, yield, and production of total grain (wheat, rye, corn, 
barley, oats, millet, buckwheat, rice, legumes), 1991-95.

wnwheat.wk1 - winter wheat production, 1991-94.

spwheat.wk1 - spring wheat production, 1991-94.

wintrye.wk1 - winter rye production, 1991-94.

bkwheat.wk1 - buckwheat production, 1991-94.

millet.wk1 - millet production, 1991-94.

potatoe.wk1 - area, yield, and production of potatoes, 1990-95.

vegetab.wk1 - area, yield, and production of vegetables, 1990-95.

sugbeet.wk1 - area, yield, and production of sugar beets, 1990-95.

sunflow.wk1 - area, yield, and production of sunflower seed, 1990-95.

grainprc.wk1 - procurement (centralized state purchases) of total grain, 
1991-94.

consum.wk1 - per capita consumption of meat, milk, eggs (1990-95), potato, 
vegetables (1990-94), sugar, vegetable oil (1990-93).

Names of the nine tables on processed foods are self explanatory.
