Data are in Lotus 1-2-3 worksheet(.wk1) files.

The data in these tables cover selected periods from 1985-94. Worksheet
files include production, intra- and extra FSU republic trade and
deliveries to agriculture of tractors, trucks, and combines for the period
1985 to 1990 for the larger FSU republics. The data are derived from
official Russian and Former Soviet Union (FSU) data sources. The
republics included are Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The
machinery data are more complete for all republics since 1990 and are most
complete for Russia. The N/A entries in tables from 1985-1991 reflect the
unavailability of intra and extra republic trade data during the Soviet
period.

Tables similar to those for machinery are included for mineral
fertilizers. Production, trade, and delivery to agriculture of nitrogen,
phosphate, and potash. Estimated fertilizer application rates are given
for major field crops. Also, there are price lists available on selected
types of agricultural machinery and fertilizers. Average prices on these
items are provided for 1992-94 period.
