The tables on this diskette are stored in Quattro Pro 4.0 and Lotus 1-2-3
files.
The tables are included in two files: Veg.wq1 and Veg.wk1 for all the vegetables
and Fruit.wq1 and Fruit.wk1 for the melons and fruit.
The statistical tables in the two files on this diskette include data
covering fruit and vegetable production in the United States and Mexico,
and trade in these commodities between both countries. The tables in
the two files appear in an ERS publication U.S.-Mexico Fruit and
Vegetable Trade, 1970-92. The tables provide both U.S. and Mexican
production quantities, and total U.S. imports and exports and U.S.-
Mexican imports and exports in both quantity and value.
The commodities are: asparagus--fresh, canned, and frozen, fresh snap
beans, dry beans, dry peas and lentils, broccoli--fresh and frozen,
fresh cabbage, fresh carrots, cauliflower--fresh and frozen, fresh
celery, sweet corn--fresh, canned, and frozen, fresh cucumbers, fresh
eggplant, garlic--fresh and dehydrated, fresh head lettuce, onions--
fresh and dehydrated, fresh bell peppers, potatoes--fresh and frozen,
fresh squash, tomatoes--fresh and processed, cantaloup, watermelon,
grapefruit, limes, fresh oranges, orange juice, fresh apples, avocados,
fresh table grapes, peaches and nectarines, fresh pears, fresh plums and
prunes, and strawberries--fresh and frozen.
