This data set contains spreadsheet data files in Lotus 1-2-3 version 2.x (.wk1)
read-only format. The files correspond to the data tables in Estimates of
Producer and Consumer Subsidy Equivalents: Government Intervention in
Agriculture, 1982-92, a statistical bulletin of the U.S. Department of
Agriculture, Economic Research Service. Data for 31 countries for the years
1982-1992 are presented here if available, which may include data for years not
included in the print version because of space constraints. The countries are:

A * indicates that only producer subsidy equivalent (PSE) data are available for
that country; consumer subsidy equivalent (CSE) data were not calculated for
these countries. For each country, files are named as follows:

**PSE2.wk1 corresponds to Table 2 of the print publication
"Summary of producer support by commodity"
**PSE3.wk1 corresponds to Table 3 of the print publication

**CSE1.wk1 corresponds to Table 4 of the print publication
"Summary of aggregate consumer support"
**CSE2.wk1 corresponds to Table 5 of the print publication
"Summary of consumer support by commodity"
**CSE3.wk1 corresponds to Table 6 of the print publication
"Calculation of commodity CSEs"
Where ** is the name of the country.
Only data values (not formulae) are given. This data set was completed in
October 1994.
