AREA, CROPS, LIVESTOCK, PROCESS, TRADE, AND MARKETS
These tables contain statistics on area and land use, crop sector,
livestock sector, industrial processing and consumption of selected
consumer foods, grain trade, and marketing sector for each of the
administrative territories of the Russian Far East region: Republic of
Sakha, Primorskii Krai, Khabarovskii Krai, Amurskaya Oblast,
Kamchatskaya Oblast, Magadanskaya Oblast, Sakhalinskaya Oblast, as well
as the Russian Federation. 

The primary source materials used for these tables are the official
annual statistical yearbook of the Russian Federation and the official
annual statistical agricultural yearbook from the State Statistical
Committee.


The AREA tables contain data on the area in the Russian Far East; 
including data on land area, regions, and population, private farms, and 
total sown area of selected crops (total, forage, potatoes, and 
vegetables).

RFEARC file contains data on the area, regions, cities, and
population as of January, 1993.
 
INDFARMS file contains data on private farms: number of farms
and the mean lot area, January 1, 1991 - November 1, 1993.

CROPALL file contains data on the total sown area for all
agricultural crops and sown area for grains included, 1985-1991.

CROPFORA file contains data on the total sown area for forage
crops for all farms, 1985-1991.

CROP-POT file contains data on the total sown area for potatoes
for all farms and also for state, collective, inter-farm, and other
agricultural farms and enterprises, 1985-1992.

CROPVEG file contains data on the total sown area for vegetables for all 
farms and also for state, collective, inter-farm, and other agricultural 
farms and enterprises, 1985-1992.


The CROPS tables contain data on the crops sector of the Russian Far East. 
Included in these tables are statistics on the area, yield, production, 
and state procurement of selected crops (grain, sunflower, potatoes, 
vegetables, wheat, and rice).

AYPGRAIN file contains data on the area, yield, and production
of grain, cleanweight, 1981-1992.

AYPSUN file contains data on the area, yield, and production
of sunflower, 1981-1992.

AYPPOT file contains data on the area, yield, and production
of potatoes, 1981-1992.

AYPVEG file contains data on the area, yield, and production
of vegetables, 1981-1992.

PROCGRAI file contains data on the state procurement of grain,
1981-1992.

WHEAT file contains data on the state procurement of wheat,
1981-1992.

PROCRICE file contains data on the state procurement of rice,
1981-1991.

PROCPOT file contains data on the state procurement of
potatoes, 1981-1992.

PROCVEG file contains data on the state procurement of
vegetables, 1981-1992.


The LIVESTOCK tables contain data on the livestock sector in the Russian 
Far East. Included in these tables are statistics on livestock 
inventories, production of livestock products, and state procurement of 
livestock products.

COWINV file contains data on cattle and included cow
inventories, January 1, 1986-1993.

SWINEINV file contains data on swine inventories, January
1, 1986-1993.

GOSHINV file contains data on goat and sheep inventories,
January 1, 1986-1993.

DEERINV file contains data on deer inventories, January 1,
1986-1992.

POULINV file contains data on poultry inventories, January
1, 1986-1993.

MEATPROD file contains data on the production of meat in
carcass weight, 1976-1992.

MILKPROD file contains data on the production of milk,
1976-1992. 

EGGPROD file contains data on the production of eggs, 1976-
1992.

WOOLPROD file contains data on the production of wool in
physical weight, 1976-1992.

MILKYPC file contains data on average yield of milk per
cow, 1980-1992.

EGGOUT file contains data on the average output of eggs per
chicken, 1980-1992.

WOOLPPS file contains data on the average production of
wool per sheep, 1980-1992.

AWLVPROC file contains data on the average weight per head of livestock 
(cattle and hogs) sold to the state for slaughter, 1985-1991.

PROCANIM file contains data on the state procurement of
animal products (livestock and poultry, milk, and eggs), January 1993
and a percentage of 1992.

PROCLVP file contains data on the state procurement of
livestock and poultry, liveweight, 1981-1992.

LVPSOLD file contains data on the liveweight of livestock
and poultry sold for slaughter, 1981-1992.

MILKPROC file contains data on the state procurement of
milk, 1981-1992.

CHANGEPR file contains data on the 1993 production of livestock products 
(meat, milk, and eggs) and cattle productivity (yield of milk per cow) as 
a percentage of 1992.


The PROCESS tables contain data on the industrial processing and 
consumption of selected consumer foods (meat, butter, vegetable oil, 
groats, pasta, sugar, confections, and conserves) in the Russian Far East.

MEATPROC file contains data on the industrial processing of meat, 1980-
1992.

ANOIL file contains data on the production of butter, 1980-1992.

VEGOIL file contains data on the production of vegetable oil,
1980-1992.

GROATSPR file contains data on the production of groats,
1985-1991.

PASTAPRO file contains data on the production of pasta,
1985-1992.

SUGAR file contains data on the production of white sugar,
1980-1992.

CONFECTI file contains data on the production of
confections, 1980-1992.

CONSERVE file contains data on the production of conserves
of all types, 1980-1992.

CONGOODS file contains data on the production of consumer goods, in 
current prices, in 1992. Included numbers for non-alcoholic
beverages, alcoholic beverages, and non-foodstuffs.

CONSUMP file contains data on the consumption of major foods, 1985-1991. 
Included foods: Meat/meat products, milk/milk products, vegetable oil, 
butter, cheese, potatoes, bread products, sugar, and vegetables.


The TRADE tables contain data on the grain trade of the Russian Far East. 
Included in these tables are statistics on grain imports throughout the 
Russian Far East, the volume of grain imported through ports, and grain 
imported to Primorskii Krai.

RFEIMPGR file contains data on grain imports with statistics
for total grain imported, grain for food, and grain for feed, 1989-1991.

GRAINVOL file contains data on grain imported through major ports 
(Vladivostok, Nakhodka, P. Kamchatskii, Korsakov, and Vostochnyi). 
Grain exported from Australia, Canada, China, Korea, USA, Thailand, and
Turkey, 1988-1989.

GRAINIMP file contains data on the planned and actual amount of grain 
imported to Primorskii Krai by city and grain type, 1989-1990.


The MARKETS tables contain data on the various forms of enterprises of the 
Russian Far East. Included in these tables are statistics on joint-
ventures, exchanges and markets, cooperatives, small businesses, new 
economic structures, and enterprises.

JV file contains data on the number of working joint-ventures and amount 
of exports and imports for the year 1992.

MARKETS file contains data on the number of exchanges and markets which 
were functioning in or before 1991. 

COOP file contains data on the principle indicators and activities of 
cooperatives, January, 1993. Includes statistics for number of 
cooperatives, number of workers, volume of productions sold for 1992, 
percent of which sold directly to the public, and volume of production 
sold per cooperative.

SBC file contains data on the principle indicators and activities of small 
business companies, January, 1993. Includes statistics for number of small 
businesses, number of workers, volume of productions sold for 1992, 
percent of which sold directly to the public, volume of production sold 
per business.

ECOSTRUC file contains data on new economic structures,
January, 1992. Such structures include: concerns, consortiums,
associations, joint-stock companies, unions, and companies.

VOLPROD file contains data on the number of enterprises and volume of 
production, January, 1992. Divided into state and non-state owned 
property, state owned property, and non-state owned property.
