Tables 1-23 from the special report, 1984 Farm and Ranch Irrigation Survey, are
contained in 23 Lotus 1-2-3 files, version 2. The 1984 survey, conducted to
supplement the basic irrigation data collected from all farm operators in the
1982 Census of Agriculture, used similar methods and procedures as that used in
the 1979 Farm and Ranch Irrigation Survey. Definitions and explanations of
terms used in the tables can be found in the 1982 Census of Agriculture or the
Special Report Series AG84-SR-1, Bureau of Census.
Information contained in the files is listed below. State data are provided
for the 17 western states, Arkansas, Florida and Louisiana with all other
states combined. Data are provided for 18 Water Resources Area.
