Interstate Livestock Movements: Total Inshipments

Contents

Total inshipments are the total number of cattle (beef and dairy), hogs, and sheep shipped into a State for feeding or breeding and exclude animals brought in for immediate slaughter. Shipping patterns between States cannot be determined from these data because they do not provide the State of origin. For more information, see the Source Report and Data Questions and Answers.
