|Detailed Objective: This project explores possibilities for investments in new and improved data
resources for research on Federal food assistance and nutrition programs. The
project will identify and evaluate 10 feasible initiatives for investments in
data resources, and then develop an implementation plan and cost estimates for
three selected initiatives.
The initiatives developed under this project will address research and program
information needs for the Food Stamp Program, the Special Supplemental Nutrition
Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and child nutrition programs.
The initiatives will also be selected for their usefulness for program participation
issues and research on the effects of food assistance programs.
