Detailed Objective: This project provides support to the National Agricultural Library (NAL) in systematically storing and disseminating information on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's food assistance programs, nutrition education and related nutrition issues; and hosting a web site and list server. The food and nutrition assistance clientele that receive special services from FNIC and NAL include: State agency staffs and clientele affiliated with Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) programs such as the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, State Nutrition Education and Training Program (NET), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Special Milk Program, and Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations. FNIC continued to build and improve their web site, which was cited by a nutrition magazine as one of the top ten nutrition sites providing access to food and nutrition information.
