Food Assistance and Nutrition Programs: Charts

 

Food stamp legend

SNAP—includes the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly the Food Stamp Program) and the Nutrition Assistance Programs in Puerto Rico, the Northern Marianas, and starting in FY 1996, American Samoa.

Child nutrition legend

Child nutrition—includes the National School Lunch, School Breakfast, Child and Adult Care, Summer Food Service, and Special Milk programs.

WIC legend

WIC—includes the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

Food donation legend

Food donations include the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, the Nutrition Services Incentive Program, the Disaster Feeding Program, The Emergency Food Assistance Program, and the Food Distribution Programs for Charitable Institutions and Summer Camps.

Administration legend

Administration includes administrative expenses.
