Food Consumption
Table 1 shows the average daily consumption of food energy and
five food groups for individuals ages 2 and older, children ages
2-18, and seniors ages 60 and older during 1994-96. As shown later
in table 3, average consumption of any of the five food groups falls
below the recommendation specified in the Pyramid.
