New Organic Product Introductions, 1988-2008
Almost 7,000 new food and beverage products (and over
22,000 stock keeping units or SKUs) were introduced to
the U.S. retail market in 2008. Organic product introductions
made up a growing number of these. Beverages, packaged
and prepared foods, and bread/grains led the number of
new organic product introductions in 2008.
