The FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) codes for
counties consist of a 2-digit code for the State and a 3-digit
code for the county, thus a 5-digit number identifies each county
uniquely. The codes can be found at this Census
Bureau site.
CRDs are Crop Reporting Districts used by NASS. They are aggregates
of counties. A listing of CRDs appears at this NASS
site.
