Constanza Valdes is an economist with the International Trade and Development Branch, Market and Trade Economics Division. She serves as lead analyst for Brazil’s economy, policies, developments, and changes in agricultural markets; provides information and analysis on Mercosur and Colombia. During her career, she has worked on a variety of topics related to trade agreements (NAFTA, Mercosur), Mexico’s agricultural developments and policies, APEC-member’s agricultural outlook and policies, Brazil’s agricultural productivity growth, Brazil’s crops, livestock and ethanol developments.

Constanza Valdes received an M.S. in economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
