The USDA Economic Research Service, Farm Foundation, NFP, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission held a workshop on carbon market design, bringing together policymakers, industry participants, NGO's, and academics to discuss issues facing the establishment of efficient market(s) for carbon in the United States. Rather than focusing on existing legislation or political concerns, the forum considered the lessons learned from existing carbon/environmental markets in order to inform policymakers about potential hurdles to the design of domestic carbon markets.

An agenda that includes speaker bios, topic abstracts, and presentations is available. See Farm Foundation's website for workshop presentations.
