Detailed Objective: The study examines the dynamics of income and food security and to decompose the sources of income dynamics into those associated with demographic changes, wage changes, and employment changes.

Specific research activities included in the study are: (1) an examination of the dynamic properties of poverty status and food insecurity from the Survey of Program Dynamics, (2) an examination of these dynamic properties for the entire sample and for selected subgroups such as single-parent and married-couple families, and (3) the decomposition of the sources of income dynamics into those associated with demographic changes, wage changes, and employment changes.
