U.S. farmers and ranchers raise many other types of livestock in addition
to beef and dairy cattle, hogs, chickens, and turkeys. ERS analysts compile
and analyze data on supply and demand, processing, pricing, and trade
for sheep and aquaculture (production of aquatic animals and plants under
controlled conditions). However, ERS does not routinely follow the markets
for other livestock commodities, such as goats, rabbits, ducks, geese,
game birds raised on farms, ostrich, and buffalo.

Other Minor Livestock Commodities
Other USDA agencies have limited information and data on
a few other minor livestock commodities.
USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) provides data
on goat inventory and mohair production and prices:

USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service provides estimates on ducks and
