IT Specialist, or Computer Clerk/Assistant.

Economist/Economics Assistant (multiple positions)
During your internship, you will:
- Conduct economic research, or
- Assist a senior economist in conducting research.
Minimum requirement: one course in economics
Preferred: third or fourth year economics major,
or graduate student in economics
Economist/Economics
Assistant summer internships will focus on economic
research.
IT Specialist: Web (two positions)
During your internship, you will:
- Develop professional web pages for ERS websites.
- Assist ERS web professionals in web content management.
- Manage information collections essential to the agency.
- Perform quality assurance to ensure the website is
meeting user needs.
IT Specialist summer internships
will focus specifically on web design and development.
Computer Clerk/Assistant (multiple positions)
During your internship, you will:
- Perform data management tasks such as data compilation,
statistics, and validation of data and computation results.
- Assist in the implementation of web and internet technologies,
website layout, navigation, and design.
Preferred: Information technology/computer science
major with knowledge of MS Office software packages,
programming, and statistics.
Computer Clerk/Assistant
summer internships will focus on data compilation and
internet technologies.

Applicant Qualifications
Candidates must meet all the following criteria:
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited
college or university.
• Applicants must be planning to continue their
education in the next school year.
• Because an internship is an "excepted service
appointment," candidates must be citizens of the
United States or of a country allied with the United States
in a defense treaty agreement or exempted by Congress.

Noncitizens must have either a green card indicating lawful
admittance or another form of authorization to be employed

student is authorized.
