Briefly

Lewrene Glaser is Acting Deputy Director for Outlook Communications in ERS's Market and Trade Economics Division. She plans and coordinates the communication strategy for the ERS outlook program, as well as reviewing and clearing outlook-related articles and reports. Lewrene also serves as economics editor for materials the division places on the ERS website in briefing rooms and data products. Prior to joining the Director's Office in 2001, she conducted research on the marketing of organic foods in the United States and on industrial (nonfood, nonfeed) uses of agricultural commodities.

Education

Lewrene received her M.S. in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985 and her B.S. in agronomy from Colorado State University in 1979.

Professional Affiliations

She is a member of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.
