Briefly

Keith Fuglie is an Economist in the Resource and Rural Economics Division. His work focuses on U.S. and international agricultural productivity growth, the economics of technical change in agriculture, and agricultural science policy.

Background

Keith rejoined ERS in 2007 after having worked with ERS from 1993 to 1997. During 1997-1998 he served as senior economist for agriculture on the White House Council of Economic Advisers. From 1998-2006 he was with the International Potato Center(CIP) based in Indonesia, where he headed CIP's social science research program. Keith was also a Rockefeller Foundation Research Fellow in Tunisia during 1990-1991.

Ph.D. and M.S. in Applied Economics, University of Minnesota; B.A. in Mathematics, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota.
