Briefly
Greg Pompelli is Associate Director of ERS's Market and Trade Economics Division (MTED). The division conducts economic research and analysis on U.S. and global economic and policy factors that influence the structure and performance of agricultural markets and trade. Background
Prior to his current position, Greg was chief of the Animal Products, Grains and Oileeds Branch within MTED and served as the division's Acting Deputy Director for Market Analysis and Outlook. He led the Geo-Spatial Economic Analysis (GSEA) Team in the ERS Administrator's Office, and has served as Chief of the Global Agricultural Markets Branch. Before joining ERS, Greg was an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at the University of Tennessee, an economic analyst with Sunkist Growers, Inc., and a loan officer with the Sacramento Bank for Cooperatives. Education
Greg received a Ph.D. and an M.S. from the University of California-Davis and a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University. Professional Affiliations
